Prospective Member Information

We are glad that you are considering membership at South Haven Yacht Club. Our history is rich and full. In the fall of 1939, a small group of local boaters met and discussed a common need for access to the water for pleasure boating in a very commercial harbor. Their early vision and efforts established the South Haven Yacht Club on the banks of the Black River. The Club has grown from small beginnings into one of the premier yacht clubs on the Great Lakes, offering many services and amenities to its members and guests.

Our facility has 35 seasonal boat slips, full-service fuel and pump-out dock, a beautiful clubhouse and a full-service bar and restaurant that is open year round and active with many parties and social events.

Our club hosts a Junior Sailing School with an excellent reputation for teaching children the safety and fun of boating and is available to all kids.

The Club also supports a Thursday night sailing series for the more competitive boats in the harbor.
